Botox and Fillers Q&A

How do Botox® and fillers work?

Botox and fillers are cosmetic injectables that enhance facial features and reduce signs of aging. Botox® and Dysport® are neurotoxins that temporarily relax facial muscles, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. They’re effective on dynamic wrinkles that form and intensify with expression, like smiling or frowning.

Fillers, such as hyaluronic acid-based products like Juvederm® and Restylane®, add volume to areas of the face, such as lips and cheeks, to restore youthful contours and fullness.

What types of fillers do you offer at your med spa?

North Texas Med360 offers fillers to address different concerns and areas of the face. These include lip fillers to enhance lip volume and shape, cheek fillers to add definition and volume to the cheeks, and hyaluronic acid-based fillers to smooth wrinkles and restore facial volume.

Sculptra® is an FDA-approved poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA-SCA) injectable designed to restore volume and improve skin texture by stimulating collagen production. Providers commonly use it to address signs of aging, such as facial wrinkles, folds, and hollowed cheeks. Sculptra provides natural-looking results that can last up to two years or longer with proper maintenance.

What cosmetic concerns can Botox and fillers address?

Botox and fillers can address a range of facial concerns, including:

  • Wrinkles
  • Fine lines
  • Volume loss
  • Sagging skin

Botox and Dysport, another neuromodulator, effectively reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles caused by repetitive facial movements, such as frown lines and crow's feet.

Fillers can add volume to areas of the face that have lost volume over time, such as the cheeks and lips, and fill in deeper lines and folds, like nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Fillers can also contour your face and enhance features for a more balanced and youthful appearance.

What is Kybella?

Kybella® is an injectable treatment used to reduce submental fullness, commonly known as a double chin. It contains deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring substance that breaks down fat cells, leading to a more contoured jawline.

Kybella® effectively slims your chin to improve your profile.
