World Diabetes Day!

Today (November 14th) is the World Diabetes Day (WDD). WDD is created in 1991 by IDF (International Diabetes Foundation) and WHO (World Health Organization) to address escalating health threat posed by diabetes.

WDD has 2 main focus areas for this year.

  1. Discover diabetes – 1 in every 2 people with diabetes is undiagnosed. Early diagnosis is key to help prevent or delay further complications.
  2. Prevent – Healthy lifestyles. Being overweight or obese increases the chances of developing the common type of diabetes, type 2 diabetes.

This aligns perfectly with our philosophy – Some prevention is better than a lot of treatment.

We now offer comprehensive services – primary care, internal medicine and obesity medicine. All 3 services in 1 place. It starts with your annual physical and you can make an appointment on-line at ntm360.com
